As many of you know, Murphy’s Army became a registered charity back in 2016, with a mission to help reunite lost and stolen pets with their families, and to raise awareness of pet theft.
Over time, and with the incredible growth of our Purple Poppy Campaign, we felt a natural shift in focus – one that truly reflects our heart and passion.
We’re thrilled to share that, with the approval of the Charity Commission, and by Special Resolution on 12th April 2025, our charitable objectives have officially changed. Murphy’s Army is now entirely dedicated to celebrating and supporting the invaluable contributions of service animals – past, present, and future.
Thank you for your continued support on this incredible journey. Together, we honour those who served and continue to serve.

Murphy’s Army Registered Charity No. 1167823
Murphy’s Army Purple Poppy Campaign (MAPPC) celebrates and supports the invaluable contributions of service animals, past, present, and future. We honour the memory of animals lost in conflicts and recognise those who have served and continue to serve alongside or in support of uniformed services.
Through fundraising efforts, we provide vital support to service animals, both active and retired, ensuring they receive care, welfare, training, protection, and support tailored to their needs. By raising public awareness, we commemorate their sacrifices and achievements while promoting their welfare and legacy for generations to come.
Murphy’s Army Purple Poppy Campaign is in no way connected to or affiliated with the RBL or its Poppy Appeal.
